A nursery rhyme, inequality, judgment and division. That's how we are kicking off our debut single release. In spite of the weighty metaphors, the thumping beat and driving guitar pull you up onto your feet to stomp along. At least until the tempo change where any dissonance felt in slowing down and speeding up only adds to the swaying and slightly sickening sensation of a children's nursery rhyme gone awry.
Folk tales that have survived over the years never shy away from exposing the darkness that lurks in our lives. By sharing in creativity with eachother (through music, dance, art, poetry) we help eachother to process the difficult parts of life.

Jack and Jill they were up on that hill
But they never came down together
It’s a lie that they told,
And they sell it to your soul
So you keep your bucket full forever

Jill took her bucket, travelled up the hill
But she forgot what they taught her
Man came down with a golden crown
And he poured out all their water
Spoke of a sinning angel with a heavy price to pay
And the bonds of motherhood are enough to block your way

Jack settled down in a holy town
As the gates grew six feet taller
Out came the sound of a weeping clown
As his mother tripped on the borders
Lost out on turf for a life that’s bred to breed
Swinging on the ropes of a long accepted greed

Holy ghost spoke on the hill
To a crowd of sixteen soldiers
Man reached out with a thorny crown
Just following the orders
Twisted and lost down a long forgotten track
Building blocks are falling but theres no turning back

Lets go down to the burial ground
Dance on these graves with thunder
Stolen from the town by the holy impound
Now their buried six feet under
Judgement has passed on a life now turned to dust
Shielded from a light that’s been lost in all of us

Kept the mother kicking in the gutter forever
But the lamb was slain

Now she’s staring at the stars, limbs severed
